In the second game, the strong offense continued with a 20-3 defeat of Thorsby.  In their final game, the Mustangs gave up more runs than in their last two games combined, yet still wolloped their Leduc opponents 21 - 8.

"We played a fabulous time, they had a lot of fun and when these kids play for fun that's when the ball comes out." said assistant coach Helly Kim. "We're very proud of them, we were struggling in the last couple of tournaments and we're very proud of what they accomplished for sure." he said.

While their offense was undeniably strong, the Mustangs also used their strong pitching and defensive play to hold opponents in check. In their final games against Leduc, a run-down play saw multiple Mustangs rotate through positions until the catcher tagged the runner out at third. Yes, the Mustangs are so coordinated, even the catcher rotates into rundown plays.

"That was a trick play we practiced this week" said head coach Steve Reid. "Our kids are awesome, they're really super dedicated, they come work really hard at practice, we show them stuff and then they go out and do it. We get excited when they do the stuff we practiced."

The Mustangs are now preparing for provincial championships, where they expect to be a tier 1 team thanks to their undefeated record in playoffs.
