Part 1 of the two-part finale of the Lac La Biche Music festival was held at the McGrane Theatre on Wednesday night. The night featured piano, band poetry and speech recitals.

A small crowd caught the highlight performances from a month of recitals. Several of the participants were also awarded their trophies for their top-finish performances. The night featured moving piano solos and entertaining poetry readings. There was a little rock n' roll as well, courtesy of the JAWS Rock Band. Wanna see 'em? Click ">here.

The second night of the two-night performance goes on Thursday at Aurora Middle School. The show starts at 7 pm.
A good turnout would be a great way to let this year's organizers know how much the community appreciates the 45-year history of the Music Festival. Make your way to Aurora Thursday night.
