Amisk get Remembrance Day awards Wally Sinclair of the Royal Canadian Legion in Lac La Biche presents cheques and certificates to four students at Amisk Community School for winning the Rememberance Day poster, essay, and poem contests.
Amisk Community School was also presented with a School Program Poppy Appreciation Award.

Scouting out the start line Lac La Biche Scout Jesse Parker, 14, gives leader Ken Hodgins some help lining up the racers to start the semi-truck heats during last Saturdays Cub Car Races at Jubilee Hall. Parkers black and white truck is a milk truck, he told a fellow racer, not a cow truck. Lac La Biche Beavers, and soon-to-be-Beavers raced in their own car heats as did the cubs. All of the racers built their own vehicles for race day. Many painted up their rides and glued on decorations for extra marks at the judges table.

New library goes to Bold Center The Stuart McPherson Public Library is getting a new $3.85 million home attached to the Bold Center. The decision was announced in the 2010 Lac La Biche County budget, with design work to begin this spring and a projected completion date of late 2011.
